Remote meetings were introduced as a part of the Covid19 pandemic.
These proceses were adopted by Avon Dassett Parish Council and have been reviewed on an annual basis.
We are not able to hold meetings remotely but these procedures remain in place in case we are able to hold remote meetings in the future.
Avon Dassett Parish Council is committed to holding meetings which are accessible to all residents of Avon Dassett, Councillors and employees in an environment which acknowledges the risks associated with the Covid pandemic and taking all steps necessary to ensure that all attendees are safe.
The right to record, film and to broadcast meetings of Avon Dassett Parish Council’s (the Parish Council”) and the Annual Parish Assembly meetings is established following the Local Government Audit and Accountability Act 2014. This is in addition to the rights of the press and public to attend such meetings.
The Parish Council is committed to being open and transparent in the way it conducts its decision making and to make meetings more accessible. For the purpose of this
policy the term ‘record’ means any form of audio, visual or electronic recording. Those who attend a public meeting should expect to be filmed. This includes Councillors, Council Officers and members
of the public.
Where the press and public are excluded from the meeting or parts of the meeting owing to the confidential nature of the business to be transacted, recording of that part of the meeting may not be
filmed or recorded.
