Meetings Of Avon Dassett Parish Council

The Government has not extended the ability for Parish Councils to hold their meetings remotely so we will have to hold our meeting face to face until further notice.

Under the terms of The Transparency code we are required to:

1. publish the draft minutes from all formal meetings (i.e. full council or board, committee and sub-committee meetings) not later than one month after the meeting has taken place. These minutes should be agreed at the next meeting. 

2. publish meeting agendas, which are as full and informative as possible, and associated meeting papers not later than three clear days before the meeting to which they relate is taking place. 

We will always strive to give as much notice as possible for meetings. Agendas and minutes will be published via this wesbite, displayed on the Parish Council noticeboard. In addition subscribers to our internal communication facility will receive an email advising them of the dates for the meeting, or that the respective minutes are available and also giving them a link to the relevant document on this website.

Filming Of Meetings

The right to record, film and to broadcast meetings of the council, committees and sub committees is established following the Local Government Audit and Accountability Act 2014. This is in addition to the rights of the press and public to attend such meetings. For further information regarding these rights please refer to Section 3 of our Standing Orders. Anyone exercising these rights will be deemed to have accepted them whether they have read them or not.
