Housing Needs Survey 2020

The Housing Needs Survey was commissioned as an input to inform the Parish Plan; it is not in itself a policy document. Planning Policy is determined by Stratford on Avon District Council and is set out in the Core Strategy. In summary, Avon Dassett does not have enough amenities to be classified as a Local Service Village and therefore is not required to bear a share of the allocation for additional properties. However, this does not preclude individual planning applications being made and considered on their own merits.

It is the intention of the Parish Council to invest in the preparation of a Parish Plan which will take into account the wider needs and concerns of the community. The work to survey the community and identify options, actions and priorities will be conducted as soon as possible once there is a return to near normality after the Covid19 lockdown is lifted and resources become available.
