Streaming of Parish Council Meetings

The Avon Dassett Parish Plan (“the Parish Plan”) adopted in May 2022 identified that residents found Parish Council meetings inaccessible and more attended during the pandemic when they were streamed online. 

Government legislation prevents Parish Council meetings being entirely online but hybrid meetings are possible and are common at District / County Council level. Online meetings could be hosted on the Avon Dassett Parish Council (“the Parish Council”) website for viewing after the meeting. 

A project has therefore been initiated that will provide the equipment necessary for the streaming of Parish Council meetings.

The Parish Council has reviewed it's policies s and procedures and made any amendments necessary to ensure that the streaming of meetings meets with it's legal requirements. These amendments are to be presented to te meeting to be held on 6 March 2023 for approval.

A project business case has been prepared and was adopted at the Parish Council's meeting held on 6 March 2023.
