You may have heard of a government supported initiative to set up ‘Warm Hubs’ in communities.
The main idea of a Warm Hub is to provide a warm space for residents to visit, thus helping people to reduce their home heating bills. They also provide a space for companionship and offer hot drinks and possibly other refreshments. Other facilities such as board games, newspapers and free wi-if may also be available depending on the venue.
Avon Dassett Parish Council is trying to establish whether there is need and interest in setting up a Warm Hub in the village and whether there are residents who would be willing to set up (with support and guidance) and run one.
There is more information on Warm Hubs here.
The Parish Council is keen to hear your views both for, and against, the provision of this facility. There will be an additional coffee morning on Wednesday 16 November 2022 from 10.30 am to 11.30am in The Reading Room. Please come along.
If it is not possible for you to join us, or if your would also like to send us your views, please complete the online survey by following the link below.
A paper copy of the survey is available from Trevor Gill, The Thatches Avon Dassett, or by calling 07775 762927
